Sterling Silver, Bronze & Copper

The fascinating pieces below start out in a clay form of either silver, bronze or copper. The clay consists of microscopic particles of each metal and an organic binder which keeps it soft and pliable. Different shapes are created with the clay using various textured tools, molds, leaves, dried flowers and buttons. Each piece is dried and sanded to a smooth finish then kiln fired. After the firing process the pieces are tumbled, burnished then liver of sulfur is painted on giving each piece a great contrast of color. The completed pieces turn into either sterling silver, bronze or copper.
